Speccies – The Specs Warehouse are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive environment for all visitors. This statement outlines the facilities we have in place to ensure your visit is as comfortable as possible.
Parking
- We have 2 dedicated parking spots at the front of our unit.
- There is disabled parking in the overflow car park to the left of the building
Physical access
There are 6 steps from the parking area into the unit, with handrails each side.
Step free access is available.
- A staff member will need to escort you as it’s not obvious where you’ll need to go, and doors will need to be opened for you.
- Please let us know if you need step free access when booking your appointment.
- On arrival, please park up and phone us to let us know you are here. Or, if you have another person with you, ask them to pop into the unit to alert us. A staff member will meet you at your car.
Facilities
- Toilets are shared with all the units at The Beresford Centre. There are disabled toilets via a step free route. A staff member will happily escort you and open doors.
- There is plenty of seating.
- At the moment there are no hearing loops.
- Our unit is air-conditioned in warmer months and heated in cooler months.
- Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and chilled water is available
Support
- As we work exclusively by appointment the service is one-to-one. So all times are quiet times.
- Dogs are more than welcome including assistance dogs and pets.
- Staff are more than happy to help carry anything you need from/to your car.
- Overhead lights can be switched off if required.
