The price of a basic Single Vision lens is included in the cost of spectacle frames. Additions such as coatings, thin lenses and Transitions are also available at an additional cost
The ever changing, constantly developing and increasingly useful Varifocal is a lens allows you to see at all distances, rather than having to rely on separate single vision glasses.
Prices vary enormously as these lenses are completely bespoke to the individual customer, however the starting price for them is £49 for the most basic of lenses and can go up to £400 and above depending on the requirements of the customer.
Essentially the more the lens is required to do, the more complex the lenses are to make and are inevitable more expensive. However, we will guide you through everything and will always recommend the best solution for you.
A very simple form of seeing at 2 distances with one lens. Essentially they are 2 single vision lenses, 1 on top of the other, allowing you to see distance and close for example.
The compromise is that you are restricted to 2 distances, rather than all distances like a Varifocal. There is also a visible line on the lens which be off putting.
Prices start at £39 and are available with all lens coating and treatment options.
Used for our customers who have complex prescription requirements, such as very high powered or high astigmatism.
Using Digital Varifocal manufacturing technology, these lenses help to reduce the distortions normally produced on high prescription lenses when using traditional manufacturing techniques.
They cost around the same as a quality pair of varifocals, with prices varying depending on coatings and Transitions lens options are applied.
Perfect for those who spend all their working life in front of a screen.
While these lenses use Varifocal technology to work, unlike those, they offer significantly more Intermediate vision than a varifocal can. This means it is also great for use with 2 or more screens, and can be set to an exact distance for best performance.
This lens has a near vision booster property to it. Great for people who are not yet requiring any additional spectacles for reading, but will make life much easier when looking at a screen for long periods of time.
Some people really struggle when driving at night. Especially with more modern cars that have very bright white headlights, it can be difficult.
These lenses make driving at night much more comfortable.
There are several options here. Including a combination of tints, coatings, materials, even driving specific varifocal lenses. We will advise you on what will be best for you based on exactly what you are struggling with, and how best to overcome it.
